Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal was undergoing treatment at the Critical Care Unit of CMH in Dhaka since March 3
“Those who have gotten involved with terrorism, I hope they come to their senses. I am not angry at or have complaints against anyone,” said Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Professor Dr Zafar Iqbal.
He made the comments while talking to reporters at the Dhaka airport before boarding a private airlines flight for Sylhet around 10:30am on Wednesday. He was released from Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka in the morning.
Dr Zafar Iqbal further said: “My health is well. The doctor has asked me to come on March 18 for a follow-up.”
The academic and eminent writer was undergoing treatment at the Critical Care Unit of CMH in Dhaka since March 3, when he was attacked at a program organized by the Shahjalal University’s Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Sylhet. After receiving initial treatment in Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College, Zafar was flown to CMH in a private helicopter, where he underwent various tests and treatment from specialists before being released.
